The Maddie Coulter Fund for
Emotional Intelligence
This is Madeline Grace Coulter
Everyone called her "Maddie."
Her mom wanted to keep it Madeline, but I always knew she was a Maddie.
Maddie was smart, hilarious, super kind and fiercely honest. She spoke her mind, sometimes a little too much, which may have sparked a few arguments along the way. But we loved each other deeply.
On April 11, 2015, we lost Maddie to suicide.
That day changed everything.
Today, Maddie is my biggest inspiration and driving force. Her legacy fuels my mission to change how we hold schools accountable for mental health and ensure we prepare teens for the challenges of the real world.
The link below leads to GiveWise, a Donor Advised Fund, which I believe is the smartest, most efficient way to give to causes you care about. This is where I direct proceeds from my book, speaking engagements, and the incredible support from people who believe in this advocacy work.
Your contribution helps us fund programs that:
Increase mental health accountability in schools by giving students a voice to evaluate and improve the support they receive.
Support youth mentorship programs that build confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence in teens.
Advocate for system-wide change so no family has to endure what we have.
Maddie’s life may have been cut short, but her impact continues to grow. Together, we can make sure her story changes lives for the better. teens for the challenges of the real world.
